BUSINESS LINK FIRST OCCUPIER FOR ONE CAPITOL COURT
Barnsley Deveopment Agency is delighted to announce that the new regional Business Link service for Yorkshire and the Humber has chosen Capitol Park, Barnsley to locate its new Regional Co-ordination Centre.
Bringing over 100 jobs to the area, the Regional Co-ordination Centre is to become the first occupier in the pres tigious Capitol Court building at the park, which has been developed by regeneration specialist, Priority Sites as part of a joint venture with Sterling Capitol. The Business Link service will take the ground floor, and half of the first floor comprising 15,000 sq. ft.
Senior Management and back office support staff will be based there, with over half of the staff being mobile to serve local clients and partners.
Capitol Park’s excellent location, just off junction 37 of the M1, on the A628 Barnsley/Manchester road at Dodworth offers good access to the majority of Business Link clients, workforce and partners, and was a major consideration in the decision by the Business Link service to establish a regional operation here.
Business Link’s ‘ Information Gateways’, are currently located in Leeds, York, Hull and Doncaster, and will be centralised into the new single Regional Co-ordination Centre from April 2008.
