Building4Vets

Acting on behalf of a private investor Chris Rowlands & Co. has completed the sale of 161 Wilthorpe Road, Barnsley to Vets4Pets.

Most of the building was established as a veterinary surgery about six years ago after being substantially refurbished from its former use as a car sales garage. Part of the building at a lower level was converted to offices and used until last year by NCH Action for Children. Once it was vacated Vets4Pets recognised the opportunity to expand their business and at the same time acquire the freehold interest from the landlords.

Vets4Pets is a fast expanding national franchise with branches throughout the country. Peter and Caroline Richards are the partners who run Barnsley Vets4Pets.

Peter Richards said “Our business has expanded more than we ever imagined possible when we started off six years ago. The acquisition of the extra space will allow us to develop further by providing more operating theatre space and larger consulting rooms. Furthermore the building has a large private car park which means that all our patients and their families can visit easily."
