New Pharmacy for Grimethorpe

Lo’s Pharmacy have recently moved into a brand new purpose built pharmacy adjacent to the Grimethorpe Health Centre to extend and improve the range of pharmacy services that they have traditionally carried on from their old shop in High Street.

The Pharmacy was developed on land formerly owned by Netto and it now comprises a 2000 sq ft retail area, dispensary and consulting rooms along with four residential apartments at first and second floor levels.

Property advisor to Lo’s Pharmacy throughout the process has been Chris Rowlands & Co. who negotiated the acquisition of the site from Netto, conceived the early design ideas and instructed architects and provided valuation advice with regard to funding the project.

Architect for the scheme was Peter Dimberline and the main contractors were CD Potter & Son.

Steven Lo from Lo’s Pharmacy expressed his delight at the new premises during the opening ceremony on 4th June when the guests of honour were Michael Dugher MP, the newly elected member for Barnsley East and Tom Sheard, Chairman of Barnsley PCT.
